FABApero – February 11, 2026

A New Chapter for the Franco-American Legal Community

A Transatlantic Mission at the Heart of FABA

Since its inception, the French American Bar Association (FABA) has pursued a mission that is both simple and ambitious: to build lasting bridges between the French and American legal communities.

Lawyers, corporate lawyers, notaries, academics, students… all those interested in transatlantic relations find in the FABA a privileged space to exchange, meet and develop professional opportunities between France and the United States.

The First FABApero of 2026: A Success Despite the Rain

February 11, 2026 marked a new chapter with the organization of our first networking event of the year: the now unmissable FABApero, hosted at O’Sullivans (Franklin D. Roosevelt) starting at 7:30 p.m.

Despite particularly unfavorable weather conditions, the event was a clear success. Nearly 70 participants attended, demonstrating that not even the rain could dampen the energy of the Franco-American legal community.

Rich and Meaningful Exchanges

The diversity of attendees contributed greatly to the evening’s success: lawyers, in-house counsel, notaries, and students interested in international careers.

Discussions were spontaneous, welcoming, and practical. Artificial intelligence, compliance, arbitration, international mobility, professional journeys, experiences in New York, San Francisco, Paris, and Marseille, as well as ongoing projects — the conversations were as varied as they were stimulating.

Business cards were exchanged, LinkedIn connections were made, and new professional relationships began to take shape.

More Than an Event: A Living Community

Beyond networking, this FABApero highlighted something essential: the desire to share.

The desire to nurture an accessible, dynamic, and supportive network where everyone can learn, contribute, and grow their practice. FABA is not merely an association or a series of events — it is a true community.

What’s Next: An Upcoming Conference

Building on this momentum, we are already working on organizing our next conference, whose theme will be announced soon.

Our objective is clear: to address a topic at the heart of contemporary Franco-American issues, bring together high-quality speakers, and create meaningful space for dialogue. Combining high-level content with conviviality remains the FABA signature.

Why Become a Member?

Becoming a FABA member means fully embracing this dynamic.

Members benefit from:

  • privileged access to our events at reduced rates,
  • exclusive access to certain flagship gatherings.

The 4th of July celebration and our traditional Thanksgiving dinner, reserved for members, are two highlights that blend culture, friendship, and transatlantic spirit in a consistently festive atmosphere.

Membership also provides access to our private WhatsApp group (currently being created). Far more than a simple discussion channel, it is a genuine professional tool. Members share information, opportunities, and most importantly, referrals between France and the United States.

Being able to recommend a trusted colleague in New York, Los Angeles, or Paris — or to receive a qualified referral — represents tangible value within an internationally oriented legal practice.

This Is Only the Beginning

The success of this FABApero shows that the community is mobilized, engaged, and enthusiastic.

More events, more connections, and more opportunities will follow.

If you would like to actively contribute to strengthening Franco-American ties, expand your professional network, and join a dynamic and supportive community, FABA welcomes you.

See you soon — and at the next event.
